Grandissimo solista tedesco. Ha praticamente sempre prodotto tutto da solo (guardate la discografia per capire quanto abbia lavorato) e soltanto nei live si è appoggiato ad altri musicisti (il migliore tra i quali Charlie Clouser, ex NIN ora solista anch'egli). La sua musica è un metal industrial dalle ritmiche rock 'n roll, veloci e dirette. Una energia simile a quella di Betty X. Carica e voce grintosa per un sound assolutamente godibile. Se non lo conoscete io vi consiglio di ascoltare l'ultimo album "Futurist" uscito nel 2005. Un grandissimo album dell' industrial 'n roll.

Uhm uhm... com'è possibile che questo topic non se lo curi nessuno?
Cioè... Alec Empire è un essere fondamentale, che ahimé ho scoperto un po' tardi... ma caspita... vale un sacco... sia da solista che con gli Atari Teenage Riot.
Intelligence and Sacrifice è un disco superbo nel suo essere hardcore (quella dei gabber) e thrash al contempo. Magnifico.
Per quanto concerne i dischi precendenti, invece forse un po' ostico, nella sua durezza strumentale... ma valevole comunque. Grande grande grande.
E consiglierei anche il primo disco dei Curse of the Golden Vampire (originariamente uscito a nome Animal Empire in quanto collaborazione tra Alec Empire ed i Techno Animal, ed i Techno Animal erano niente meno che Justin Broadrick e Kevin Martin). -

Futurist è un gran bell'album. aggressivo come pochi, come lo sono i gruppi della sua etichetta, la Digital hardcore. Anche se preferivo gli Atari teenage riot. . -
